Sitting having a latte at starbucks after 17 hrs of flyingWE have 5 more hrs to go before we arrive in Saigon..where we will be picked up
by Loan,a representative from T.D.H ....
SO..we have one last sleep as two and
then next am we should have Amaya for the duration of our trip.We are staying at the Grand hotel for the 1st week ,and once we get all ourschedule ....We will try to head for a beach resort to chill out from the big
city!
We feel pretty refreshed from our flights and...and i also have taken inventoryof our packing and it seems we ahve everything we need.I must admit it was a little crazy prior to leaving as i wasn't use to packing
for a baby ...well here is alist a brought that i hope will help some parents
for theirtrips..
PACKING LIST 101
- baby bottle liners for the plane for sure but we also decided for entire trip(that way it is not neccessary to sterilize bottles which becomes a hasssle on
very long flights)- brought minimal disposal diapers, in a variety of sizes, as you can buy them
in Vietnam for lower price
- teething ring, oral gel and medicine (for 7 months and up) as they may start teething (oh joy!)
- very few small toys like a rattle
- two books that fit in your purse
- diaper bag with fold-out change mat
- cooler/LUNCH bag to keep formula cool for day trips and flights
- two bathing suits for the baby if you want to use the pool
- sun dresses for girls
- lots of onesies in different sizes (bring a size smaller) as you do not know
the weight until you pick your baby up
-diaper cream
- Nicks cream (two tubes; order from Costco as it is lower in cost)
- baby aspirin
- baby shampoo, creams and oils
- corn starch for diaper rash
- sun hat and children's sun block
- sling for mum and front carrier for dad to allow bonding skin to skin, heart
to heart and eye to eye; ensure the size is appropriate to your baby's weight
- baby wipes (organic type has no alcohol, which is better on the skin)
- baby face cloths (10)
- pacifier (just in case!)
- if your child is walking, bring shoes
DON'T FORGET...ANYTHING YOU DON'T HAVE YOU CAN BUY IN VIETNAM..LOAN KNOWS ALL THE DEPARTMENT STORES FOR YOU TO BUY ANYTHING YOU NEED..INCLUDING A STROLLER IF
YOU DECIDE YOU WANT ONE FOR AIRPORT...SHOPING MALLS,OR SLEEPING IN AT LUNCH TIME!!
